My name is HorsePlay Yogi Bear. I’m also known to my friends as Fuzzy Bear or simply as The Fuzz...(apparently it’s because I’ve got very fuzzy ears...but I don’t like to talk about that!). I’m 7 years young and my love in life is eating and being scratched. I like a bit of craic too and going to shows and stuff. I’m a bit of an all around talent, if I do say so myself – I do dressage, show jumping AND eventing!
I’ve been meaning to start blogging for quite a while now, but every day just seems busier than the last – there are circles to go round in, grids to be jumped, beaches to gallop on, shows to go to...the list never ends!
But anyway, what drove me to finally put hooves to keyboard this morning is an ongoing gripe of mine...my mum went and left a rug over my stable wall again last night. I mean, how often do I have to tell her – it completely wrecks the Feng Shui I have going!! Anyway, I think I got my point across again as I tossed it back over the wall into the stable next door. Sometimes when she leaves it on the wall I pull it down into my own stable as it actually makes a nice play toy to practice some stomping on. I thought I’d not go quite that far last night as I suppose the whole reason it was there was because mum changed me back into my heavyweight rug (it was so cold yesterday with the wind!) and the medium one got forgotten about on the wall. Honestly though, how busy can mum be that she forgets such simple little things?!
Anyway, that’s what has driven me to start blogging...hopefully I’ll manage to keep it up. Last weekend we went to a show jumping show on the way to a dressage show which I thought was a bit much, but I didn’t complain too much as I did get extra carrots. Apparently we’re just going show jumping this weekend, so a bit of a quieter time. However, I heard mum mention that on Monday she needs me to be a guinea pig at dressage demo given by Niall Quirk?? I mean, I know I’m furry and cute and all that, but a guinea pig might be pushing it...and what do guinea pigs have to do with dressage? Can you imagine a guinea pig doing an extended trot?! Anyway, I presume I’ll find out more when we arrive at Kilronan on Monday evening. Might see you there?
