London 2012 here we come…

As I’m only seven years old you might think the title of this latest blog is a tad optimistic as even nine or ten is considered young for Olympic event horses, let alone eight…but I haven’t lost my senses as it’s not eventing I’m considering aiming for, but swimming!
My first swimming lesson

When it comes to the prospects of Olympic eventing, if I were honest, age is one of the last things that will stand in my way. My mum is probably the biggest obstacle as by Rio 2016 she is going to be way too chicken and too far over the hill (to be honest I think she is even now…but she’s the one that keeps food in the buckets, so I should keep my mouth shut on that point!).

Hunter trials and tribulations…

Me enjoying an early morning paddle
Well, quite a lot has happened since I last wrote…most important of which is the amazing sunshine! Isn’t it mega? I have my rug off and have had the most amazing roll scratches…been waiting a long time to do that ‘sans rug’!

Last week my mum was in two minds as to whether to go show jumping or go to a hunter trials on St. Patrick’s day…

Rein Back...what on earth is the point?!

A bit of a rebellious title to my second blog, which isn’t really me...but I’ve had two dressage sessions in the last few days, have been made to go backwards in both and I really can’t understand why! Mum keeps telling me I have to go more forwards and keeps kicking her little legs like a pony clubber, so I really can’t understand then why she wants me to go backwards instead of forwards! She says it’s to increase engagement and to get my hocks under me more, but I just chuckle to myself...‘not the way I do it!’

My First Blog...

Hellooooooooooooooo!

My name is HorsePlay Yogi Bear. I’m also known to my friends as Fuzzy Bear or simply as The Fuzz...(apparently it’s because I’ve got very fuzzy ears...but I don’t like to talk about that!). I’m 7 years young and my love in life is eating and being scratched. I like a bit of craic too and going to shows and stuff. I’m a bit of an all around talent, if I do say so myself – I do dressage, show jumping AND eventing!
